My memories of Vancouver Island are bits and pieces of my childhood, the fog rolling in on Long Beach, grasses blowing in the wind outside a B&B, and waves crashing against the rocky shoreline.
Returning to the Island was like a breath of fresh air after spending a couple of days in Vancouver, gone were the traffic jams and onslaught of people, instead we were greeted by misted mountains and lush green forests.
After staying a night in Port Alberni we made our way to Tofino, and ended up going back and forth between Ucluelet for adventures
Best Western Tin Wis Resort and MacKenzie beach by night, with the stars reflecting on the sand like something out of a dream
After Climbing up an Island and following a path through a tangled forest, we were led to this cliff overlooking the Pacific Ocean
We stopped at the Amphitrite Point Lighthouse near Ucluelet
Other stops included sections of the Wild Pacific Trail, Brown's Beach, and Long Beach
Sunsets on the beach were nothing short of spectacular
It's hard leaving such a beautiful place, and I look forward to the next time I get to experience the wildness of Vancouver Island
